A request to use Trinity Church for a publicly released recording was certainly a first for us. We were very happy to accept the request, so Lauren Scott, a local harpist and composer, duly turned up with her harp and production team.
We had fears that the sound of Trinity’s heating system would disturb the recording but, fortunately, the sound for the recording was added to the video later, so we needn't have worried.
Lauren was preparing to release a new album 'Sea of Stars'. She chose the church setting of Trinity to record her arrangement of 'Be Thou My Vision', the one hymn on the album.
If you were at Trinity for morning worship on 7th April you will have heard this very calming piece incorporated into the service by Sylvia Harrison. But, now that the album has been released, we can all hear it by accessing YouTube:
