What can we give the youngsters to eat on Valentines Day was the first question posed when planning this month’s Messy Church – the snack was easy, a jammie dodger with a heart shaped centre! A wedding seemed to be a good theme for love so the Bible story is the Wedding at Cana with several crafts based around this; chocolate truffles may well be the most popular but the youngsters will also be able to make a card for someone they love, a piece of jewellery and a gift box for holding treasure. Going back to food, always the tricky decision, the choice was spaghetti carbonara, a definite favourite but we added a party pudding of jelly and ice cream. Please encourage any you know to come to Messy Church after school with their parent / carer, it is a special afternoon for all.
