As Christmas approaches it's a time of joy and celebration.  Nativity plays and carol singing are all around.  Here's a flavour of what's been going on.

advent candle on a windowsill at BosleyThe Christmas scene was set.  Ivy trailed around the candle-lit lanterns on the window ledges, the manger was in place. Chattering friends gathered together to enjoy the buffet tea set out in the school room.

All this set the scene for our 2021 Christmas Family Advent Service, ‘Love Came Down at Christmas’ in which four churches took an active part.      [Bosley celebrations continued]

Lower Withington

A walking nativity at Lower Withington On Sunday the 12th of December Lower Withington held their first ever Walking Nativity.

The congregation along with the brass band began their journey at the village hall as they found the first character, Mary. We shared in a bible reading and carol before moving through the village to the next stop.

We travelled and stopped on the way collecting the rest of the characters. We stopped at the chapel for our final character, carol and blessing before sharing mulled punch together and mince pies.

An outdoor nativity at WellspringOn Sunday the 12th of December, Wellspring hosted a Live, Outdoor Nativity on their carpark.  The nativity script was interspersed with carols.

We had friends from our local estate come and join us plus some real, live animals.

A great time was had by all.
